The "Ding Yuanxing" brand was founded in 1919 and is a famous pastry brand in southern Zhejiang and northern Fujian. The founder Ding Kaize (formerly known as Ding Kaitai) successively opened Dingyuanxing cake shops in Zhejiang and Fujian. During the public-private joint venture in 1956, it was merged into the former Pingyang County Qiaodun Supply and Marketing Cooperative Food Factory. The second-generation inheritor Ding Jinbang re-established the time-honored brand in 1988: "Ding Yuanxing Pastry Shop", which combines inheritance and new standards, and registered the "Ding Yuanxing" trademark in 1991. The "Cangnan County Dingyuanxing Food Factory" established in the same year mainly produces traditional pastries such as moon cakes, raw kernel slices, raw kernel crisps, mayue, double cook cakes, and crisp cakes. The third-generation inheritor Ding Xueguan took over and founded "Wenzhou Dingyuanxing Food Co., Ltd." in 2006, and restructured the company into a joint-stock company in December 2013. In 2016, more than 50 million yuan was invested to build new factories and infrastructure, carry out innovative research and development of new products, and expand production scale. Ding Yuanxing Factory integrates production, research and development, sightseeing and experience, and is committed to allowing consumers and tourists to visit and experience up close, understand the exquisite and sophisticated production skills of Wenzhou Cangnan traditional mooncakes, and promote the culture and stories of Wenzhou Cangnan traditional mooncakes. In 2020, a new automated bread and biscuit production line will be set up to provide consumers with more and better baked goods.
The company is currently a member of the cake special committee of the China Food Industry Association, a vice president of the Wenzhou Food Association, and a president of the Cangnan Qiaodun Mooncake Industry Association.
