Brand Introduction

Lou Maoji is a soy sauce garden, full name is "Lou Hengsheng Maoji Sauce Garden". It was founded in the second year of Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty (1724) and has a history of 300 years. It mainly produces soy sauce, rice vinegar, dried fragrant, fresh bran, rice wine and other products.

Lou Maoji is the "descendants shop" of the Lou family (transmitted from generation to generation) and has been passed down for many generations. According to legend, during the Kangxi period, a young couple from Louao, Fenghua (now Fenghua Louai) came to Ningbo and set up bean sprout stalls to make a living at the corner of Baizhang Street and Hui Street in Jiangdong. Because the Lou couple was kind and good at managing people, the Dousai business soon became prosperous. In order to expand the business scope, the couple opened a tofu water factory, producing and selling tofu, bean sprouts, vegetarian chicken, dried fragrant, fresh bran, etc. at the original site. A few years later, the income turned into accumulation, and the accumulation was then used as investment, and the scale of the workshop became larger and larger.

In the eighth year of Qianlong (1743), through a relative who was an official in the capital, the couple received a brand that was sure to sell official salt and began to sell salt to make sauce. The "Lou Hengsheng Maoji Sauce Garden" was grandly opened. During the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty, the Hengchang Sauce Garden was also opened in his ancestral home in Fenghua.

There is an old saying in Ningbo: "Don't eat Lou Mao Ji Xiang Shen, life is not related to it." It means that the hardest and most tiring work must be done, but Lou Mao Ji Xiang Shen must be eaten, otherwise the meaning of life will be lost. It can be seen how great its influence is.

More than 2,000 tons of rice wine and more than 20 tons of sesame oil. Dried fragrant rice, soy sauce and rice vinegar are old brands in the Ningbo industry, while rice wine and sesame oil are the result of brand extension. In particular, the company's bagged rice wine has already had a huge influence in the market, becoming a weather vane and being closely watched by its peers.
