In 1923, patriotic industrialist Wu Yunchu used repeated experiments all night long to extract MSG using grain as raw materials. At that time, China's MSG market was monopolized by Japan's "beauty brand".

After going through hardships, Wu Yunchu and his partners opened a small MSG factory on Wei'ai Road (now Zhaozhou Road) in Tangjiawan, Shanghai. This is the beginning of China's own MSG manufacturing. Wu Yunchu got inspiration from "Tian Shang Kuai" and "West Heaven Buddha Kingdom", and used "Tian Chu" as the company name and "Buddha Hand" as the trademark of MSG. In January 1924, the "Fu Shun" MSG trademark officially submitted a petition to the government for registration. Just like the current products that focus on outer packaging, in order to make the "Buddha" MSG quickly gain a foothold in the market, Wu Yunchu specially asked someone to carefully design a set of MSG packaging bottles and outer boxes.

According to the characteristics of fresh MSG rather than meat, and even vegetarians can eat it with confidence, Wu Yunchu specially asked someone to design the MSG packaging bottle into shapes such as Maitreya, Guanyin, and Arhat. The shape is small and exquisite and cute. The outer box of the packaging is even more exquisite and elegant, with the background color in yellow and blue. On the one hand, it is a Buddha hand drawing carefully drawn by the famous sea painter Wang Yiting, to match the "Buddha Hand" trademark of Tianchu MSG; on the other hand, it prints the praise of the Buddhist master Taixu handwriting The poems of the poem are full of cultural taste.
