Brand Introduction

Liuyang Wind Instruments Co., Ltd. was founded in 1893 and began to manufacture saxophone in 1954. The first Yanagisawa Saxophone was an all-subtle. Later, it launched the midrange, upper bass and treble in 1965, 1966 and 1968 respectively. In 1972, Yanagisawa launched the rare Sopranino, the world's first Sopranino with F# key.

At the beginning, Yanagisawat was also a copy of Selmer, and it was not until the 1980s that it became confident and gradually emerged from the shadow of the French model. They have their own new ideas in key design, such as the octave key hanging below the tube neck, the tilted bass B and Bb keys.

Since 1982, Yanagisawa has started to produce sterling silver neck tubes. Since the Elimona 880 series launched in 1982, Yanagisawa has officially squeezed into the professional field from a semi-professional instrument. In 1985, it launched the world's first treble that can remove the neck of the tube. Saxophone, later this manufacturing method was adopted by other manufacturers.

In 1991, Yanagisawa began to produce the 900 series that has been used to this day. It replaced the previous beginner model 800 series, and the 990 replaced the 880 series.

After successfully launching the sterling silver tube, Yanagisawa bravely tried a project that other manufacturers had never done before: the sterling silver tube body. The first sterling silver saxophone was launched in 1988. It was model 8830 at that time, and later changed to 8833. It is no different from other 880 series except for the material, but it is only produced in a small quantity and cannot be found in Yanagisawa's product catalog. The 9930 sterling silver series launched in 1993, in addition to its material, is the same as the 990 series, with models ranging from upper bass to trebles, and has also been officially written into its product catalog.

In 1995, Yanagisawa finally launched a sterling silver trumpet on the alto and treble saxophones, and people can finally have saxophones made of sterling silver (that is, the 9935 series, and there is also a brass body and sterling silver trumpet. 9933 series).
