Russian Helicopters
The subsidiaries of Russian Helicopter Holdings include design bureaus, helicopter factories, accessories manufacturing, maintenance, repair and other enterprises, helicopter repair shops, and service companies that ensure after-sales service for helicopters in and outside Russia. The Russian Helicopter is headquartered in Moscow.
"Russian helicopters" systematically upgrade the mass-produced models and develop new modifications based on the use situation in countries around the world. This will help form a world-class and highly competitive helicopter manufacturing industry and ensure that the "Russian helicopter" remains among the world's leading helicopter producers.
"Russian helicopter" has strong scientific research strength. As two world-class helicopter design schools, Milmosco helicopter factory and "Kamov" are both affiliated with holding companies. The history of these two design bureaus is related to and named after Mikhail Mir, the recognized founder of the Russian helicopter industry, and Nikola Kamov. Nikolai Kamov invented the Russian term vertolyot (helicopter) and actively participated in the development of a rotary rotorcraft (the predecessor of a helicopter) in the 1920s. Mikhail Mir led the research and development of Russia's first mass-produced helicopter.
