AIRBUS
Airbus (also known as Airbus and Airbus), is a European aircraft manufacturing and research and development company, established in France in December 1970. Airbus shares are 100% owned by European Aerospace Defense Group Corporation (EADS).
Airbus, a European airline joint venture, was created to compete with American companies like Boeing and MacDonald Douglas. In the 1960s, competition among European aircraft manufacturers was as fierce as the United States, so experimental negotiations on European cooperation began in the mid-1960s.
In September 1967, the British, French and German governments signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to begin the development of the Airbus A300. This is the second major joint aircraft development program in Europe after Concorde. Although Airbus has other models that compete with Boeing, it has been a blank in the market for large-scale long-range civil transport aircraft. Although it has launched the Airbus A340, it still cannot shake the absolute dominance of Boeing 747. .
Airbus develops 500-800-seat large civil aviation transport aircraft, aiming to seize the large passenger aircraft market controlled by Boeing 747. Airbus has proposed an inference on the future development of civil aviation: the development of civil aviation transport aircraft in the world will continue to develop towards large-scale development in the future. This puts forward the concept of "hub/radiation", that is, passengers gather at the hub airport through branch flights, and then transport them to another hub airport by large transport aircraft, and finally take the branch passenger aircraft to reach the destination.
Airbus believes that the best way to improve air traffic congestion in the 21st century is to increase capacity; Airbus launches a super-large transport aircraft program that has caused many people to worry, while Airbus believes that the market prospects for large passenger aircraft are very optimistic, and at the same time, in order to improve Airbus' passenger aircraft series occupies a more favorable position to compete with Boeing and deserves huge commercial risks.
Airbus officially established an office in China in 1994. Rapid growth has been a hallmark of Airbus's China business since then, with the number of commercial jets sold to China 50 times in less than 20 years. Airbus not only attaches importance to its relationship with Chinese airlines and helicopter operators, but also appreciates the great value provided by Chinese industry; currently, parts produced by Chinese companies appear on all Airbus commercial jet aircraft. The total value of Airbus cooperation with China reached about US$10 million.
