As early as 1958, New China organized an economic and technical inspection team to visit and study in Rolls and Rossachs for the first time. In 1963, Rolls & Rolls provided Dat engines for China's civil aviation Viscount Viscount aircraft; the mtu series engines were also used in boats and locomotives in the 1960s.
In the 1970s, Rolls and Rolls transferred the production patent of Spey MK202 engine to China, which promoted China's digestion and absorption of world-leading technologies in the field of aviation engine research and development. Since then, the cooperation between Rolls and Rolls and China has continued to expand to civil aviation, railways, ships and energy fields, forming a deep friendship.
The main offices are located in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. The power system has an Mtu engine assembly plant in Suzhou. It also opens joint ventures in Xi'an, Hong Kong, Yulin, Shanghai and Beijing. Its employees are located in nearly 20 major cities in Greater China.
