The [Jiansheng] brand olive vegetable, created by Shi Dingsheng, a representative inheritor of the provincial intangible cultural heritage, is made of olives and mustard greens produced in Chaoshan area and is made through traditional techniques such as salting, lightening, and oil boiling. Its unique flavor, color and fragrance are excellent. It is a healthy food for home travel.

The olive vegetable making skills have a long history in Chaoshan area. In 1969, Shi Qiusong, a native of Waisha Pengzhong, Shantou City, used the ancient family-born method to make olive vegetables, which were sold to the country and abroad. In 1993, Shi Dingsheng, the third generation inheritor of the historian, inherited his family's skills, insisted on original ecological production, continuously improved and innovated varieties, and created a brand. Its "Chaoshan Olive Vegetable Making Technique" was announced as a project in Guangdong Province's intangible cultural heritage list, and its products are well-known.
