After more than 120 years of unremitting efforts by shipbuilders, it has gone through four relocations and expansions. In July 1982, the company was converted from the Ministry of Transport to the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation; in July 1999, according to the approval of the State Council to establish China Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Corporation, it belonged to China Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Corporation; in January 2002, it was the State Development Bank, China Huarong Asset Management Company and China Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd. reorganized Qingdao Beihai Shipyard and registered Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd.; in June 2004, in order to support Qingdao's 2008 Olympic Sailing Tournament to build an Olympic Sailing Base , the company moved to Qingdao Haixiwan Shipbuilding and Repair Base; in 2016, Beichuan Heavy Industry and Wuchuan Group implemented resource integration and became a holding subsidiary of Wuchuan Group; in November 2021, it became a member of China Shipbuilding Group Co., Ltd. The company was renamed as China Shipbuilding Group Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
Haixiwan Shipbuilding and Repair Base is one of the key projects of the three major shipbuilding bases in the medium- and long-term development plan of the national shipbuilding industry. It is one of the largest modern shipbuilding and repairing bases in China, and it will enhance the comprehensive strength of the equipment manufacturing industry in the Bohai Rim region. It is of great significance to promote the economic development of Shandong Province and build a major shipbuilding power in my country.
Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding has the ability to build various types of civilian merchant ships, marine engineering and floating structures, and is especially good at building supertankers, large bulk cargo ships, super large ore sand ships, super FPSO and other marine engineering equipment. In the factory layout, the east is a shipbuilding segmented manufacturing area equipped with domestic first-class shipbuilding production lines and a factory area of hundreds of thousands of square meters; the west is erected by 4 800-ton gantry cranes and the magnificent 500,000-ton class, 30 The 10,000-ton shipbuilding docks complement each other, forming the entire shipbuilding area. In the north, there is a 300,000-ton ship repair dock, a 150,000-ton ship repair dock and a 100,000-ton floating dock, and a 500-ton gantry crane is also equipped with a 500-ton gantry crane. The southeast is a yacht and boat area that occupies an important position in the world in the field of research and development and production of life-saving equipment. The northeast is an offshore construction area with a 300,000-ton offshore construction dock, a six-linked steel structure workshop, a five-linked module workshop, a four-spray nine-coating coating workshop and a large-scale assembly site.
Since 2008, more than 40 bulk carriers have been delivered in batches, and more than 10 bulk carriers have been undertaken to deliver 82,000 tons. The world's first 250,000-ton ore sand ship was successfully built, and a total of 12 have been delivered. Two 113,000 tons of finished oil tankers, 8 400,000 tons of super-large ore sand ships, 9 325,000 tons of ore sand ships, 6 210,000 tons of bulk carriers, and 4 64,000 tons of wood chip ships were successfully delivered.
