In 2011, Fujian Wanchen Biotechnology Group Co., Ltd. was founded in Zhangzhou. In 2013, its wholly-owned subsidiary Nanjing Jinwanchen Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was established, located in Nanjing National Agricultural High-tech Zone.

Wanchen Bio was listed as a national key leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization in November 2020, and officially listed on the A-share GEM in April 2021 (stock code: 300972).
