The Wilkins have been farming in Tiptree, Essex since 1757, where they have been making quality preserves and sauces since 1885. Grow a wide variety of traditional British fruits, including strawberries, raspberries, mulberries, sour cherries, Victoria plums, green plums, etc., and use them to make candied fruits, condiments and other snacks in factories next to the farm.

Tiptree's products are made in precious formulas and contain no artificial ingredients in color and flavor. Use handmade methods and cook in small batches using traditional methods. In addition to the jam factory, there is also a handmade bakery and a steamed pudding factory. Today, Wilkin & Sons not only produces Tiptree candied fruit, but also runs a thriving fresh fruit business and multiple tea rooms in Essex. Thursday Cabin, a hand-filled candied fruit maker now owned by Wilkin and Sons, headquartered in Tiputry; Passion Cake was acquired and later merged with Crow Catering to form Tiptree Patisserie, a successful high-quality food producer, Headquartered near Witham. Tiptree Patisserie purchased Daizylake cakes and moved the business to Witham. Cole's Puddings (a producer of quality Christmas puddings) has also become part of the Wilkin & Sons food family.
