Mr. Wilhelm Schimmel, born in 1854, is the founder of the German SCHIMMEL Piano Company and the first generation of the company. Schimmel is his last name, so SCHIMMEL Piano is a piano brand named after a family surname. Mr. Wilhelm is both a violin manufacturing technician and a piano manufacturing enthusiast. With his love for piano manufacturing, he mastered the piano manufacturing technology and opened a piano manufacturing studio in Leipzig, Germany and formed his own team. He successfully made it in early 1885. The first SCHIMMEL piano.

With the careful management of Mr. Wilhelm, SCHIMMEL has been developing steadily over the past 40 years, slowly developing from a single small workshop to a large-scale production factory. In 40 years, SCHIMMEL has been growing continuously. As a piano maker, Mr. Wilhelm not only has excellent manufacturing skills, but also has unique experience in instrument design and color matching. SCHIMMEL still retains Mr. Wilhelm's design manuscripts back then. The exquisite appearance is in line with the gorgeous and exquisite European style of the time. At the end of the 19th century, the appearance of modern grand pianos was basically formed, and the exquisite exterior decoration became the primary condition for attracting consumers. As the pioneer who follows the trend, Mr. Wilhelm's creativity and artistic grasp ability is unquestionable.

With the careful management of Mr. Wilhelm, SCHIMMEL has gone through the first 40 years, from small workshops to mass production, and upholding the belief of "quality first", SCHIMMEL has flourished rapidly. In 1899 and 1909, SCHIMMEL piano was awarded the title of royal piano manufacturer by the Duke of Saxony Weimar in Germany and the King of Romania in Europe, and was approved for permanent use of the royal royal icon. Therefore, this logo has been used to this day, and the crown logo on SCHIMMEL piano has this special meaning.

SCHIMMEL piano in the 21st century continued to expand, and reached a strategic cooperation with Zhujiang Piano Group in 2016, officially entering the Chinese market. On the basis of maintaining the original Konzert and Classic series produced in Brunswick, Germany and the Wilhelm series produced in Kalish, Poland, combined with the Chinese market, the Schimmel Fridolin series pianos were produced in Guangzhou Zhujiang Piano Group. Since then, the SCHIMMEL piano brand structure has basically been formed.

In order to better serve the Chinese market, in 2019, Schumier Piano (China) Co., Ltd. was officially established, marking the entry of SCHIMMEL piano into a new stage in China.

Over the past 135 years, SCHIMMEL has contributed a lot to the German piano manufacturing industry. Braunschweig, the factory location, is also a place for SCHIMMEL employees and their families to live and work in peace and contentment.
