After more than two years of factory construction and equipment installation, Guangzhou Overseas Chinese Sugar Factory officially started production in April 1958. Guangzhou Overseas Chinese Sugar Factory, which squeezes 2,000 tons of sugarcane per day, uses carbonic acid to produce white sugar. Guangzhou Overseas Chinese Sugar Factory has high mechanization and automation procedures from sugarcane transportation to pressing, clarification, cooking and finished product packaging.

On December 27, 2016, in accordance with the development laws and market changes of the enterprise, Guangzhou Huasang Food Co., Ltd. was jointly established by Guangzhou Huasang Sugar Factory and Guangzhou Light Industry and Trade Group Co., Ltd. through asset restructuring.
