Brand Introduction

Hoegaarden is known for specializing in the production of traditional Belgian white beer (Witbier). The Haugden winery founded in 1966 by Pierre Celis, a Belgian.

The Belgian town of Hoegaarden, the location of Haugeden winery, has established a traditional beer manufacturing industry since the Middle Ages with the assistance of local monastery monks. What is popular in the area is a Belgian white beer that uses wheat produced in Brabant as the main raw material and uses fermentation techniques as the basis and is seasoned with spices. In order to restore the unique Fujia flavor, Selis studied the formula for 10 years in order to restore the unique Fujia flavor. In 1966, he established a small winery in his own warehouse. He used water, yeast, wheat, hops, coriander and orange peel to brew beer, and named his beer brand "De Kluis" (Flanderian means "monastery"). As demand grew, Selis acquired Hougardia distillery in the early 1980s and converted it into a brewery. Since Selis claims to be the orthodox descendant of Huharden beer industry, the words "1445" can be seen on the label of Haugden beer (it is said that the origin of local beer manufacturing can be traced back to the year).

After a fire in 1985, several Belgian breweries assisted Fauga, including Belgian large brewery Times Beer (it is itself part of Interbrew Group, which is in collaboration with Brazil's AmBev After the merger, it was renamed InBev Group, InBev) provided a loan to Fujia to rebuild the winery. With huge funds, Fujia Brewery's operations have grown significantly, but at the same time, Selis gradually felt Interbrew put pressure on him through the holding of debt rights and changed the beer recipe to cater to the market. In 1987, Selis decided to sell all the shares of Foxa Winery, and move their family to Austin, Texas, USA, and open Celis Brewery, and continue to use the original formula to produce it. Authentic Fujia wine.
