Brand Introduction

COURVOISIER is a famous luxury cognac brand in France, named after the founder Félix Courvoisier. Its headquarters is located in Janaque, Charentes, France, also known as "Napoleon Cognac".

In 1828, the founder Félix Courvoisier founded the brand in Paris and Louis Gallois. In the early 19th century, Napoleon Bonaparte, the first French empire emperor, personally visited their winery in Bercy, asking him to supply a large amount of cognac to his army to boost morale. Later, when Napoleon was exiled to St. Helen's Island, it was rumored that he asked to keep several barrels of COURVOISIER cognac and put it on the British ship "Normurland" to accompany him. Since then, people have called this brandy "Napoleon cognac". Today, the silhouette of Napoleon serves as the symbol of all COURVOISIER cognacs.
