Beginning in 1827, Austria is a well-known piano brand. It is now under the Japan Yamaha Co., Ltd., which features the production of 92-key and 97-key grand pianos.
Besendorf Piano Factory Co., Ltd. is an Austrian piano manufacturing company whose parent company is Yamaha Co., Ltd. Unlike ordinary piano manufacturers, Besendorf produces 92-key and 97-key grand piano manufacturers (generally 88-key pianos).
After Natz's death, his son Ludwig Besendorf took over the company's operations in 1859 and moved the company to a new location in 1860, which later became Besendorf Concert Hall. In 1909, the company was bought by a merchant named Carl Huttlestrasse and sold to Jingbao International in 1966. Until 2002, the company was purchased by Austrian Bawag PSK Bank, and the company's equity was returned to the hands of the Austrians. However, on December 20, 2007, Bawag PSK Bank sold all the company's equity to Japan's Yamaha Co., Ltd.
In the 180-year history of Besendorf, only 48,000 pianos have been manufactured, and now only 350 are manufactured each year. This is the performance of Besendorf's emphasis on traditional tone and technology. Excellent producers gave up mass production and spent enough time on each piano to create a "work of art". The manufacturing time of a piano takes about 62 weeks. After that, the final adjustments such as tuning and whole tone took about 8 weeks. This is the cause that integrates into the soul of the producer and is also the reason why it is still loved by people from all over the world today.
