Zara's Pasta Production was founded in 1994 by Giovanni Zara, who is part of the highly respected Zara family in northern Italy. The purpose is to provide high-quality, delicious pasta and sauces to Zara Italian deli at the public market in Granville Island. Since then, the goal has been consistent: to create fresh, unique pasta and sauces without artificial additives or preservatives.
Under Mr. Zara's guidance, handmade methods flourished and earned the reputation of Vancouver's culinary pasta producers. Today, continuing the tradition of excellence, Zara’s Pasta Production not only supplies Zara’s Italian deli but also a growing customer, including many other delis, hotels and restaurants in the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island and Okanogan area.
Currently, Zara's pasta production is proudly owned and operated by Mr. Franco and his wife Yoselin.
To meet the growing demands of the end of the 1990s, José Franco joined the team and quickly became a valuable asset. Under Mr. Zara's guidance, Mr. Franco perfected his skills and prepared to continue this respected legacy in the coming years.
Starting from a small warehouse in North Vancouver, it has grown into an impressive 8,000 square feet factory in Port Coquitlam. The success of this expansion is attributed to the unwavering dedication of each member of the Zara pasta production team, who play a vital role in their mission to deliver quality products.
