Hubei Xinye Steel Co., Ltd. (referred to as Xinye Steel) is one of the earliest existing steel enterprises in China. Its predecessor, Daye Steel Plant, was an important part of Hanye Ping Coal and Iron Plant Co., Ltd. in the late Qing Dynasty and has a long history. In 1948, it was named Huazhong Steel Company, and in 1953, it was renamed Daye Steel Plant, and in 1993, it was established Daye Special Steel Co., Ltd., and in 1994, it was reorganized and standardized as Yen Steel Group Co., Ltd., and in 1997, Daye Special Steel A-shares were on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. Listed, in 2004, Hong Kong CITIC Pacific invested in acquiring the main steel assets of the Steel Group Co., Ltd. and established Hubei Xinye Steel Co., Ltd.
