Starting with a small workshop in Paris...

In 1880, Parisian pigment merchant Moise Hagueenauer established Seigneurie Lactic Company. He set up his company in Paris to sell to construction painters the raw materials needed to make paints: flaxseed oil, essential oils, white bases and colorants, etc.

The family business moved to Panting in 1911 and was taken over by the founder's son.

To the manufacturer on the international stage

In 1919, after the business was interrupted by the war, the two brothers began to run their business and made a very bold decision to manufacture and sell ready-to-use paints. They transformed from merchants to manufacturers. The company continues to grow, setting up workshops and laboratories to study and test new formulas.

In 1930, the company name "Lesfils de M Hagueenauer Ainés" added "Usines de La Seigneurie", which is a district name of Panting where the company started.

The Bobigny factory was built in 1953 and then the Genlis factory was built in 1963, and it is still manufacturing a variety of branded products. In 1968, the company moved from Panting to Bogigny and renamed "LaSeigneurie".

In the 1970s, La Seigneurie and Société Nationale des Pétroles d'Aquitaine (later Elf Aqauitaine) cooperated and merged into the entire group.

In 2007, Seigneurie® joined the PPG Industrial Group's Building Coatings EMEA division.

The brand now has more than 200 sales points distributed in mainland France, Seigneurie® is also a leader in the European Overseas Market (DOM-TOM) and Africa markets, and has been used in Spain, Portugal, or Asia in particular Among the important projects in China.
