In 1921, Jacob Schick invented the razor. Colonel Schick was a former U.S. Army Lieutenant and founder of Comfort Razor, inspired by rifles on the battlefield. The feature of this razor is that its blade can be replaced and has a handle to avoid damaging the hand when changing the blade. Schick Comfort Safety Razor Company was officially established in 1947. In 1963, Schick became the manufacturer of Teflon outer stainless steel blades in the United States.
