Brand Introduction

In 1876, Sharphan's founder Achille Savinelli opened a store specializing in selling pipes and accessories at No. 2 Orefici Street, Duomo Square in the heart of Milan, Italy. Similar stores were rare in the world at that time. This small shop soon became a gathering place for many pipe lovers to exchange experiences and ideas with each other. The shop is still located at its original location.

Mr. Achille Savinelli also started to design pipes in this small shop, and later moved all the pipe design and production factories to the Varese district in northern Milan. The pipe world was undergoing a change at the time, and people began to make pipes using heather wood roots instead of clay. While opening a store in Milan, Achille's brothers also opened a pipe shop for smokers in Galleria Mazzini, GENOVA.

Since 1881, Achille Savinelli attended the Italian Industrial Expo, today’s Milan Expo, to showcase her products. It has staged a drama for the world that the entrepreneur's personal hobbies bring success to his descendants' careers.

By 1924, his son Carlo had already made Savinelli pipes in the workshop behind the store. After World War II, his grandson decided to open up overseas markets, and since then, Savinelli began to gain a seat in the history of pipes. The Savinelli pipe is carefully processed from high-quality heather roots produced in Sardinian, Italy and Corsican, France for at least 15 years.

Savinelli leads the many Italian pipes in terms of value (price) and design. On the one hand, it is very consistent with tradition; on the other hand, it is not forgotten to be enterprising, and the ratio of classic products to fashionable styles is well balanced.
