NIDEC COMPONENTS (Japan Headquarters) was founded in April 1967 and is a manufacturer specializing in the production of electronic parts. (From April 1, 2023, the company name will be changed from NIDEC COPAL ELETRONICS to NIDEC COMPONENTS)

The company's purpose is to provide high-quality and low-priced products. The company started with the production of fine-tuning potentiometers, and this product was actively adopted by a large number of users in related industries, thus laying the foundation for the company's future development. Later, the best-selling of cermet potentiometers allowed the company to grow rapidly, and with continuous efforts, a series of new production lines were opened, including motors, encoders, switches and pressure sensors in various ranges. The company has always adhered to the diversified development of its products. In 1983, with the advent of multi-faceted laser scanners, the company's production scope has expanded to the field of optical electromechanical and mechanical. Multihedral mirrors and laser scanners are an essential and critical component for applications such as lidar and laser printers.

The company has been actively promoting the globalization process of products. In 1986, sales agencies were established in California and Europe. A branch was also established in Singapore soon. Through the above-mentioned strategic operation centers established in Asia, North America and Europe, the company aims to further expand its services. In order to further develop a potential Chinese market and better serve the vast number of Chinese customers, the company established a branch in Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone - "NiDian Zhengbao Electronics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd." in July 2001. In order to unify the company name with the parent company, the Shanghai branch also changed its name to "Nidkoko Zhibo Electronics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd." from April 1, 2023.
