In October 2017, Keopsys, a fiber laser company founded by Marc Le Flohic in Lannion, France, merged with Quantel, a company focusing on solid-state lasers, and the new group was officially renamed Lumibird Group.
The new group has two major business units: lasers and medical devices, and is committed to providing customers with better laser products and solutions. In May 2018, Lumibird Group established a wholly-owned subsidiary in China: Guai Laser Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
With 50 years of experience and focus on solid-state lasers, laser diodes and fiber lasers, Lumibird Group provides customers with high-performance lasers from design, production and manufacturing to sales, and its product applications cover scientific research (laboratory, university, Research Institute), industry (manufacturing, national defense, radar sensing), medical (ophthalmology medicine), etc.
Lumibird is committed to the industrialization of laser products. To successfully expand the use of lasers and achieve high yields, Lumibird is leveraging its innovative and industrial capabilities. Innovative design of increasingly high-performance lasers, the limitations of docking end users, especially in miniaturization. Therefore, Lumibird spends 8% of its revenue on research and development. Industrialization, adjust production capacity to meet strong market demand and produce at competitive costs.
