Lib Tech was founded in 1977 and is an American board sports manufacturer, including snowboards, surfboards, skateboards, etc. Lib Tech is known for its unique designs while also committed to developing new technologies and pursuing environmental sustainability. In surfboard production, Lib Tech cooperates with the Lost brand to combine their own production processes and board technology to produce surfboards. Lib Tech surfboards are one of the surfboards that combine more advanced technology and materials. The surfboards they produce are known as the harder surfboards in the world.
Lib Tech co-founders Mike Olson and Pete Saari have been building dream boards and innovative technologies for over forty years. From Mike’s beauticians conquering the 80s finless deep side-cut snowboarding, which helped pave the way for snowboarding acceptance at ski resorts, to the launch of the Lib Tech brand and the rapid rise of Jamie Lynn, to The breakthrough discovery of Magne Traction® jagged edge technology, and the revolutionary Skate Banana model shortly thereafter, pioneered an inverted "banana era" Cambers' industry-wide.
With Mike’s lifetime project realised, Lib Tech’s innovation history continues, which aims to build a better surfboard with Lib Tech’s proprietary “when hard to fix” ecoIMPACTO® structure. During this adventure, the genius and vision of Travis Rice’s generation, along with countless rippers, artists, craftsmen and experienced people, joined Lib Tech. They are all chasing their dreams through Mike and Pete’s projects, building environmentally friendly dream boards for themselves and their friends.
