Kong Fengchun (KOPHENIX) was founded in the first year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1862 AD). Kong Fengchun's predecessor, "Kongji Xiangpin", opened in Qinghefang. Later, the shopkeeper Kong Chuanhong got the "Feng Bi Tu Meng" and changed the store name to "Kong Fengchun" and has been used to this day. With fine product production and honest store management, Kong Fengchun became famous in Hangzhou and became one of the four major businesses and the imperial tribute of Cixi. In the 1920s and 1930s, Kong Fengchun entered its heyday, with a turnover of 50% of the cosmetics industry, and several monopoly markets.
Among the five famous products in Hangzhou, "Hangzhou scissors, Hangzhou powder, Hangzhou smoke, Hangzhou brocade, and Hangzhou fan", Hangzhou powder refers to Kong Fengchun.
