Karl Heilmeier and Wilhelm Weinlein founded the company "Heilmeier & Weinlein" in Munich in 1949. The former is an engineer with a keen sense of technological innovation and the latter is a businessman with extensive experience in market opportunities.
Their company started out as a simple workshop focusing on the manufacturing of hydraulic equipment. With only 100 square meters of workshops and warehouses and two offices in total of 30 square meters, they began their entrepreneurial journey. With innovative spirit and with limited resources, they developed radial plunger pumps, laying the foundation for their subsequent success.
In 1960, the company was renamed "Heilmeier & Weinlein Fabrik für Oelhydraulik". This name comes from the pronunciation of the first letters H and W, the company founders, and was identified as the abbreviation of the product brand name as early as 1950. This further developed into the HAWE brand, which subsequently led to the birth of the company name HAWE Hydraulik GmbH&Co. KG. As the company further developed, when HAWE became an international multinational company, the company was renamed European agenda company HAWE Hydraulik SE in 2008.
HAWE has its own branches in Europe, North America and Asia to form a global sales, service and engineering network. HAWE 's production plant in Germany supplies customers around the world. In-depth value creation, advanced technology and continuous quality awareness ensure the stability, durability and service life of the product. HAWE’s ambition is to combine more than 70 years of experience in the hydraulics field with the integration of new technologies to provide innovative solutions, namely “ Solutions for a World under Pressure ”.
HAWE China was founded in 1996 and currently owns two companies in Shanghai: Harvey Oil and Hydraulic Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Harvey Hydraulic Systems (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., specializing in the production and sales of hydraulic components and systems. It also has a sales office in Beijing.
