"Fiskars" is a world-renowned professional tool craft design brand. It is a brand created by the Finnish village of fiskars.
In the 17th century, during the Swedish rule, the village of Fiskars was a village gathered by a group of blacksmiths, producing iron tillage, nails, wire, knives, wheels, etc. A hundred years later, after introducing new technologies, Fiskars began to develop copper ore smelting, focusing on the manufacturing of copperware and copper ore mining.
In 1822, Johan Jacob Julin from Turku , Finland bought the village of Fiskars and transformed the production direction to professional use of scissors and tableware ( knife, fork, spoon ), and then Julin began to run schools and build hospitals in the village to take care of workers. And its children, Fiskars Village thus became an autonomous community gathered by production organizations.
The factory that only knew how to make nails and hoes back then has now become a listed international group, bringing big brands such as Fiskars, Iittala, Gerber, Silva and Buster under its control. The village with black and smoky faces at that time also became the center of Finnish art and design, attracting many craftsmen, designers and artists to relocate the studio here.
