Brand Introduction

Cort's long history can be traced back to 1960, when the father of founder Young Park first started the piano import business. Eventually, the business evolved into piano manufacturing and sales at the same time, and finally entered the guitar manufacturing industry in 1973. During that time, the company was a complete OEM supplier.


Because of its advanced and rapid production of high-end and low-end products, the company officially renamed Cort Musical Instruments and launched Cort's own brand products in 1982. In the initial stage, Cort's main goal was to strengthen research and development of samples and produce classic design products that were praised by OEM customers in the 50s and 60s. However, at this time, Cort's own brand products were born, and that began to be produced and sold.

1984 – Cort began to produce the Headless series of guitars licensed by Ned Steinberger. Through a partnership agreement with Ned Steinberger, Cort began producing authorized headless guitars while producing OEM products for Kramer and Hohner. The headless guitar is a symbol of Cort during this period.

1993 – Cort continued to grow and became a global brand, the company began investing in new manufacturing technologies to improve quality and stability. In 1993, a new paint spraying equipment was purchased to realize the electrostatic paint spraying technology.

1994 – To further improve the stability of wood cutting and manufacturing processes, Cort invested in CNC machine tools.

1994 – Cort was the first to produce acoustic guitars in Asia, and at that time, other manufacturers only produced full-mold guitars. Cort's Earth series acoustic guitars have excellent cost-effectiveness and have become the cost-effective pillar product advocated by Cort's acoustic instrument product line.

2016 – Fusion guitar master, legendary Frank Gambale became Cort’s spokesperson, who worked with him to design and produce his signature acoustic guitar. This acoustic guitar represents Cort's hope and artists, contracted musicians to explore and improve products, thereby creating better and more new products.

The Disheng Musical Instrument Channel is a channel service mark owned by Taiwan's "Honghuan Trading Co., Ltd." and its subsidiary "Ruida Musical Instrument (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd.".
