Brand Introduction

Commandante is an authentic German brand that was incorporated in 2012, but its ten years have basically been the history of a hand-cranked coffee bean grinder. The first generation of Comandante's hand-cranking product is considered the earliest known coffee bean hand-cranking on the market. Bernd Braune, an engineer from Munich, Germany, set a precedent in this field. The well-known product designed by the company is the famous C40.

In 2005, Bernd Braune and his family founded a coffee roasting factory outside Munich, Germany. The family often traveled on business trips around the world to purchase high-quality coffee and quickly accumulated a high reputation.

But Bernd found that even though his coffee quality is outstanding, many of his customers do not have the right grinding tools to fully utilize the quality of the coffee beans. At that time, there were already professional and easy-to-use electric grinders on the market, but for ordinary household users, these machines were too expensive and bulky. For Bernd, who is always on a trip to find beans, it is a big trouble to have no portable tools to help him stably check the quality of beans.

"I need a grinding tool that is stable, high-performance and portable," Bernd, an engineer, decided to bring his family and friends to one. They referred to traditional hand-crank grindings with a history of more than 100 years, studied the cutter wheel structure of coffee vending machines on the market, and finally designed the first hand-crank grinding with a simple shape.

This is undoubtedly a very successful design. Since the first generation of C40 was launched in 2013, it has been updated and iterated to the fourth generation in late summer 2021. However, the third generation of C40 has been launched in 2016 and has been produced and sold for 5 years. . The appearance of these four generations is the same.

Comandante puts effort into the internal cutting board and other core components of the C40 every product iteration and upgrade. It does not make any fancy changes on the surface.
