Wuxi Taiji Industrial Co., Ltd. is located on Wuxi, the beautiful coast of Taihu Lake. It is a state-owned listed company under Wuxi Industrial Development Group. The company was established in 1966. Its predecessor was Wuxi Synthetic Fiber Factory. In 1987, it merged with Wuxi Second Synthetic Fiber Factory to form Wuxi Synthetic Fiber Factory. In 1993, it was renamed Wuxi Taiji Industrial Co., Ltd. and was successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, becoming a listed company in Jiangsu Province (stock abbreviation "Taiji Industrial", stock code 600667).
The company's wholly-owned subsidiaries are Jiangsu Taiji Industrial New Materials Co., Ltd., Wuxi Taiji International Trade Co., Ltd., Information Industry Electronics Electronics Technology Engineering Co., Ltd., and Holdings Taiji Semiconductor (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., Taiji Microelectronics (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., and Haitai Semiconductor (Wuxi) Co., Ltd.
The company's current main businesses include semiconductor business, engineering and technical service business, photovoltaic power station investment and operation business and materials business. The semiconductor business mainly involves IC chip packaging, packaging and testing, module assembly and testing, etc.; the engineering technology business mainly serves six major business areas, including electronic high-tech and manufacturing, biomedicine and health care, municipal and road and bridge, logistics and civil construction, electricity, and comprehensive business; the investment and operation of photovoltaic power stations began to be gradually formed in 2014; the main products of the material business include polyester industrial filaments, glue-impregnated cord fabrics and canvas, etc., and now has a production scale of 36,000 tons of polyester industrial filaments, 20,000 tons of glue-impregnated cord fabrics and 10,000 tons of glue-impregnated canvas.
