Sichuan Fengchun Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Fengchun/Fengchun Pharmaceutical) was founded in 1973 and completed its strategic restructuring in 2000 after the restructuring of the former Zhongjiang Pharmaceutical Factory. Now, a modern private enterprise has been formed that integrates pharmaceutical research, industrial production, pharmaceutical sales, agricultural breeding, big health industry, and project investment. As a long-standing pharmaceutical company in Kawachi, it has been devoted to inheriting the innovative development of traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine. At present, it has 4 GMP production factories (including well-known subsidiaries such as Jiuzhaigou Natural Pharmaceutical and Sichuan Shenghe Pharmaceutical); more than 20 breeding companies; more than 5,000 employees; the company, wholly-owned subsidiaries and shareholders have assets of nearly 30 RMB 100 million; more than 1,500 mu of industrial land, with an industrial construction area of more than 330,000 square meters; more than 230,000 mu of GAP planting land, forestry and aquaculture land.
In 2014, Fengchun acquired Jiuzhaigou Natural Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and its four wholly-owned subsidiaries; in early 2020, Fengchun Holdings Sichuan Shenghe Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and its two wholly-owned subsidiaries: 2021 Sichuan Fengchuntang Chinese Medicine Decoction Co., Ltd. was established in 2022 and passed the GMP certification, committed to creating Chinese medicine fine decoctions. At this point, Fengchun has taken solid steps in building a traditional Chinese and Western medicine industry with domestic first-class R&D capabilities, extremely large production scale and characteristics, as well as the Qiang and Tibetan ethnic pharmaceutical industries. At present, its pharmaceutical companies have 114 invention patents and 403 drug production approval documents.
In order to sustainable protection and utilization of scarce traditional Chinese medicine resources, its Sichuan Fengchun Musk Industry Group has been established and approved 13 artificially bred forest musk and horse musk subsidiaries, and another 7 are under construction. Jiuzhaigou Natural Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary, is one of more than 10 pharmaceutical companies approved to use natural musk in China recently, and is also a pharmaceutical company approved to use natural musk as a drug product in China.
