Zurich Instruments
Zurich Instruments, Switzerland (hereinafter referred to as "Zurich Instruments"), headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, specializes in providing testing and measurement solutions. Dedicated to developing measurement instruments and selling products to all over the world directly or through professional partners, while also providing responsive and efficient customer service.
Zurich Instruments focuses on manufacturing cutting-edge instruments, helping scientific researchers and technicians in advanced laboratories explore the phenomena they pursue and difficult to measure. Products include phase-locked amplifiers, arbitrary waveform generators, impedance analyzers, phase-locked loops, digital converters, Boxcar averagers and quantum computing control systems.
Zurich Instruments was founded in April 2008 as a startup under the ETH Zurich, with its founders including Dr. Sadik Hafizovic, Dr. Flavio Heer and Beat Hofstetter. At ETH Zurich, they developed a prototype. The team of biologists used this prototype to characterize and classify blood cells using single-cell impedance measurements. In use, the instrument must be able to demodulate at multiple frequencies at a time at high speed. This solution uses a digital signal processor based on FPGAs and unique software, thus replacing the bulky and complex device. This prototype lays the foundation for Zurich Instruments to develop highly integrated multifunctional time and frequency domain analysis equipment.
