On August 28, 1998, Weiting China's subsidiary was officially established in Shanghai. The company's Chinese name "Weiting" is a homonym for Widex. "Vi" means persistence in corporate goals; "Listen" refers to listening, symbolizing the rehabilitation cause of listening; "Vi" and "Listen" together express that China will spare no effort to promote China's hearing rehabilitation cause.
Currently, Weiting has set up technical service centers in Beijing, Chengdu and Hangzhou.
