Brand Introduction

In 1934, Ferdinand Porsche was ordered to design the first Volkswagen in Germany with the purpose of building a "car of the people". Volkswagen began building factories in Wolfsburg, Germany, and began to produce cars based on the first generation of Beetles. Subsequently, Type2 and Transport models were developed one after another, further expanded their product lines, and soon set off an ordering boom. These models have become classic legends with special significance in the automotive industry. The times are moving forward, and people's demands on classics have also changed. Since its establishment, Volkswagen has rewrited its history with a spirit of continuous progress and led the development of the industry. On February 17, 1972, the Beetles manufactured broke the world record of automobile production with 15,007,034 vehicles. With this successful experience, we have been constantly developing new models. The first-generation Passat adopts a modular strategic design, which has vigorously promoted the popularization of cars. In 1983, the production of the second generation Golf used robots for the first time, and automobile manufacturing began to enter the era of automation. In 1984, we began to enter the Chinese market, and then established Shanghai Volkswagen Co., Ltd. and FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd. respectively. Since then, "Driving Santana and traveling all over the world is not afraid!", a sentence ignited the Chinese people's love and desire for cars. By 1991, China's first Jetta A2 sedan was assembled and removed from the FAW car factory, marking the beginning of Volkswagen's domestic production process. For a long time, the Jetta we made has become synonymous with "German quality". Now, after 35 years of the year, generations of Volkswagen brand cars have been galloping on the road of China, and the Chinese market has become an important market for Volkswagen. We believe that our yesterday comes from Europe and our tomorrow is in China!

The Volkswagen brand has always been proud of its ranking at the top of China's automobile sales list every year. After 34 years in China, we have successfully achieved a milestone achievement of delivering 30 million cars. Whether it is the excellent models introduced for China or the models actively developed according to China's national conditions, such as Lavida, Bora, Tiguan, etc., it has won us an outstanding reputation. In October 2019, a brand new brand logo and brand design were released. The new Volkswagen will embrace the digital and electric era with a completely different "rhythmic vitality" posture. Use bold and colorful new visual language, and a more emotional and young and humanized expression to highlight the brand spirit of mass brands to keep pace with the times and continue to innovate.
