The story of Venchi Wenqi originated in 1878 and was created by Silviano Venchi, a young man from Turin. Silviano Venchi is very fond of chocolate, he spent all his savings on two large bronze pots and began experimenting and making chocolate. At first, Venchi made it in his apartment and later in a small studio in Viadegli Artisti, Borgo Vaniglia, Turin.

However, his experiments were very successful, and a few years later he created a caramel hazelnut chocolate—a sweet dessert that was chopped, caramelized and coated with extra thick dark chocolate and Venchi Spa . Since then, Venchi Wenqi has been regarded as Piedmont's elegant coolie workshop and has become a royal supplier.

Today, Wen Qi's packaging no longer has royal heralds, but the enthusiasm, meticulous care and courage to try still exist.
