URBAN ARMOR GEAR was founded in 2012 in Orange County, California. The three founders were tired of the corporate world at that time, so they got together and decided to make a phone case that would protect their phones in challenging situations.
The first iPhone case developed by UAG was designed for the iPhone 4, with UAG's signature pattern inspired by Jerry Cans. This iconic design is used in stamped steel to create rigidity and strength while maintaining lightweight. At first, sales were slow, and the market didn't notice this until the Samsung S3 went public.
Through violence, UAG can become famous by marketing on forums and blogs and giving free samples to technology enthusiasts. Soon the news began to spread, and customers' phones were protected by UAG when they were thrown from buildings, pushed down walls, ran over by cars, and even worse.
As cell phone manufacturers launch larger and larger devices, demand for protection has increased further.
