TePe's business philosophy is to collaborate with dental experts to develop, manufacture and sell high-quality, versatile oral care products. TePe interdental brushes, toothbrushes, special care toothbrushes and toothpicks have been used by consumers in more than 60 countries around the world. All TePe design, research and development and production departments are located at TePe's headquarters in Malmö, Sweden. TePe has subsidiaries in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Belgium and the United Kingdom.
Tepe's history began in 1965, when woodcarver Henning Eklund and experts at the Malmö Dental School in Sweden developed a new toothpick. The innovative wooden toothpick triangle design is an ideal tool for cleaning teeth gaps. In 1973, Henning's son Bertil Eklund built a toothbrush, further opening up the company's blueprint. Today, 25% of all Swedish toothbrushes come from TePe. The advent of interdental brushes began in the early 1990s and quickly became the dominant product of TePe.
TePe is still in the Eklund family. Headquarters and all products still follow a safe and flexible manufacturing process.
