Henan Xintaihang Power Source Co.Ltd was the first alkaline storage battery factory established during China's First Five Plan in 1956.

Located in Xinxiang National Chemistry and Physics Power Source Industrial Park, Taihang Power covers an area of 200,000 square meters.The total annual production capacity is 500,000,000Ah. Taihang Power is a national high-tech company, mainly supporting national key projects in China. Taihang Power owns abundant technical power, leading production technology, excellent production equipment, advanced inspection instruments and complete inspection methods. The main products include nickel cadmium storage batteries, nickel-iron storage batteries, silver-zinc storage batteries, VRLA batteries and lithium-ion batteries. The products are widely used in aviation, spaceflight, rail transport, road transport, mining, navigation, telecommunication, meteorological, power plant, scientific research and other fields. The products sell well both in national and international markets, such as Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, US, and so on. The company accounts 60% market share of Chinese railway vehicle and buses. The lithium-ion battery packs developed by the company is used in Yutong electronic bus.The Ni-Cd battery won the only national quality silver medal in China.The high pressure resistance storage battery developed by the enterprise has been equipped in "Jiaolong Deep-sea Manned Submersible" of national major projects, "863 Plan". The Ni-Cd storage battery system manufactured by the company has been applied in high-speed railway.
