Founded in October 1997 by MIT professor Martin F. Schlecht, PhD, PhD, who believes a technology known as "simultaneous rectification" will revolutionize the decades of the DC-DC power converter industry. SynQor launched its first open power converter in 1999, which attracted widespread attention and praise from the industry. SynQor quickly began production at its original Hudson, Massachusetts plant and soon sold its products around the world. Its expanding product line grows as fast as its customer list, which allows SynQor to achieve critical quality and build on its early success.
Today, SynQor starts operating worldwide from its 100,000-square-foot corporate headquarters in Boxborough, Massachusetts. Its manufacturing facilities are AS9100 and ISO9001 certified and provide special examples of American manufacturing combining advanced automation technology and quality control. SynQor's extensive product line now includes thousands of part numbers, serving a wide range of industries and applications.
