The German SOMMER Group was founded in April 1980. The group is headquartered in Stuttgart, the German industrial center. It is one of the professional domestic automation products manufacturers in Europe. Currently, the group's main products include: garage door door opening machine, industrial door door opening machine, courtyard door door opening machine, rolling shutter door/shading motor, radio equipment, as well as high-quality entrance door, industrial door, garage door hardware, etc.
In June 2004, SOMMER Group acquired GROKE in Karlsruhe, Germany. GROKE Company was founded in 1898 and is a century-old enterprise specializing in the production of entrance doors. Its main products are high-quality aluminum entrance doors and pure copper finish entrance doors.
In April 2005, SOMMER Group established a branch in Jiading, Shanghai, committed to providing better and more complete services to its customers in China and Asia.
In October 2014, SOMMER Group acquired DOCO Hardware Company in Sitard, Netherlands. Its main products are industrial doors and garage door hardware, including wire wheels, springs, safety devices, pulleys, sealing strips, etc.
