Snow Peak was born in the Yansanjo area of Niigata Prefecture, Japan, which is famous for its manufacturing world. Starting from Yansanzhao Station, drive from the natural rich mountains to reach the open Snow Peak camp, where the company headquarters is located. Employees are in nature every day and constantly create unique products. In 1958, the founder Yukio Yamai set up a hardware store. From that day on, Snow Peak has been moving forward, and it has been more than half a century. Now, not only in Japan, but also overseas users are increasing. Yukio is a mountaineer who loves Tanikawa. He was not satisfied with the tools at that time and was determined to "create what he really needed by himself" and began to develop original mountaineering supplies. He fully utilized the skills of Yansan’s excellent craftsmen, constantly repeated the hypothesis and verification process, developed high-quality mountaineering supplies, and gradually attracted mountaineering enthusiasts. In 1963, the name "Snow Peak" became a registered trademark, and in 1976, the own factory was built. Yukio gradually consolidated the foundation of the brand and continued to move towards the top of the peak like climbing a mountain.
In 1986, Yukio's son, current president Yamai, joined the company. Taking this opportunity, Snow Peak pioneered a new field of automobile camping. Previously, in people's perception, camping was a hobby for young people such as backpacking and free-ride travel, and Yamai redefined outdoor activities as a way of life and advocated that camping was a good time to enhance family emotions. Yamai Tai inherited the belief of "creating what you really need" from his father Yukio, and with the support of Yan Sanjo's craftsmanship, he began to create high-end wild and luxurious camping equipment. Under his leadership, Snow Peak created a series of unprecedented products, such as the extremely strong "forged camp nails", the new burning tool "fire platform" that protects the ground from burning damage, etc. With these products, Snow Peak has led the car camping boom that has swept Japan. Snow Peak's camping is a camping that connects nature and people, and people. The goal is to reach the top, but pay more attention to "connection" is a new upgrade of the concept.
