Primetals Technology was established by Siemens Aoganglian, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and its partners on January 7, 2015, and developed technical solutions based on more than 60 years of metallurgical production innovation. The predecessors, Mitsubishi Hitachi Ironmaking Machinery and Siemens Aosteel United, have made important contributions to the company's advanced technical capabilities. In early 2023, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries acquired full ownership of Primetals Technology.
