With the establishment of Xu Optical Industry Joint Venture during this year, PENTAX's history started with the glasses and lens manufacturing industry. After the company was established, it manufactured Japan's first projection lens, binoculars and camera lenses by using its independently developed lens polishing and coating technology. While improving technical accuracy and increasing the number of products manufactured, the company released the "Asahiflex l" in 1952 - Japan's first SLR camera. Since then, PENTAX, a pioneer in the transformation from a lens manufacturer to a SLR camera and a world-renowned brand, has launched many innovative products that are leading in Japan and even the world.
To this day, although the world is constantly developing and the camera shape has changed with the advancement of technology and the way people interact with photos, there is a little PENTAX has been sticking to it.
