Brand Introduction

Since its founding in 1942, Penn Engineering® has been a leader in the fastener industry. For more than 75 years, PEM®, as the core brand of the company, is recognized as the main product in the metal sheet fastening industry. Today, we continuously improve fastener design and manufacturing technology so that we can keep up with market changes and calmly respond to challenges.

Uninterrupted investment in R&D, new product development and global strategic layout has benefited us a lot in expanding solutions and engineering expertise. Given that our customers continue to benefit from "localized access" based on the global layout, we insist on exploring the demand for fasteners in almost all industries, including electronics and computers, data/communications, medical, automobiles, ships, Aerospace/Aerospace and general manufacturing. For us, the challenge doesn't matter how big it is.

In the United States, Europe and Asia, PennEngineering® has a strong production and technical support force and a network of authorized engineering representatives and dealers across the globe. No matter where and where, we are always ready to provide you with timely and reliable solutions. When Mr. KA Swanstrom founded Penn Engineering® & Manufacturing Corp. in 1942, he developed a revolutionary new product: a press rivet that is easy to install on sheets of metal that cannot be processed threads and can provide sufficient bearing capacity fastener.

Mr. Swanstrom's creative products originated from four machines in a garage in a small town of Doylestown, Pennsylvania. As manufacturers and engineers realize the convenience of rivet fasteners, the original simple small workshop was gradually replaced by a modern production plant in Danboro, Pennsylvania. Not only does the rivet fasteners reduce time consumption, labor, weight and inventory during assembly, but it also opens a door to new areas for engineers and designers – making various industrial designs about thin metals possible .

The widespread acceptance of the industry has enabled the rivet fasteners to enter large-scale production after World War II. As the industry demand for ultra-thin and ultra-light metal fastening is increasing, the company has introduced production lines. Over the years, the initial rivet fastener design has been improved to meet the needs of hundreds of new designs and applications.
