Brand Introduction

Orrefors was founded in 1898. And its "Black Grouse" logo has become one of the world's well-known trademarks today. Tracing its origins, the Orrefors crystal factory in Sweden was developed based on a cast iron factory building. At that time, the benefits of the cast iron industry were declining, and the importance of trees became increasingly prominent. The crystal industry can make full use of discarded wood, and the creation of Orrefors crystal in Sweden kicked off a new era.

Since 1914, Orrefors began to produce crystals. In addition to grinding according to purchased patterns and samples, the factory also uses engraving decoration to create crystal art products with rich color layers. Obviously, artists in the industry are indispensable to do this. Simon Gate joined in 1916, and Edward Hald also joined Orrefors a year later. One of Gate's early tasks was to further develop the technology of non-ferrous crystals. The engraving ornaments are poured with crystal clear crystals and then carefully blown. This process is called Grail crystal. The beautiful special crystal and crystal tableware brought the first heyday to Orrefors, Sweden.

Since then, with the epoch-making exhibition of art crystal products and special crystal products exhibited at the NK Mall in Stockholm in April 1917, the epoch-making household goods exhibition held at the Liljevalchs Art Gallery, and the autumn of 1917, In many exhibitions in Norway, Swedish Orrefors crystals have become famous.

Whether it is standard crystal products, crystal souvenirs and a wide variety of crystal exhibits, Swedish Orrefors crystals are equipped with exquisite skillful engravings, humorous design language and artistic patterns. The Orrefors crystal in Sweden is so unique. Its dazzling texture, its innate artistic temperament and spirituality can exude irresistible charm anytime and anywhere. At the Paris Expo in 1925, it was produced as a crystal product at that time. Manufacturers, Swedish Orrefors crystal and designers, artists Simon Gate and Edward Holder have won the eye-catching international award (Grand Prix Medal).

In 1986, Orrefors Crystals in Sweden established the exhibition hall because the company decided to stop producing crystal products designed by its designers no longer serve the company, and to collect the limited production series of artistic crystal products they designed into the exhibition hall. The earliest collection exhibition was a huge success. Among them, Eva Inglan's character decorative crystal products have been favored by people both at Sweden and abroad because of their distinct personality and strong theme colors. The subsequent collections of the exhibition hall were exhibited in 1990 and 1992. The comprehensive history of its crystal and the classical and representative works have also been greatly appreciated and recognized by the international crystal art community.

In 1998, Orrefors Crystal, Sweden, held several wonderful exhibitions of art crystal products around the world to celebrate its century-old anniversary. At the beginning of the new millennium, Ingegerd R.man, a famous crystal product designer and expert, also joined Orrefors, bringing infinite hope and opportunities.
