In August 2020, Nestlé announced that it had agreed to conduct strategic cooperation with Qingdao Beer Group in mainland China, and Qingdao Beer Group will purchase Nestlé's water business in mainland China. Nestlé’s water business in China includes the global brand “Nestlé Youhuo” and the local brands “Dashan” and “Yunnan Mountain Spring”. The transaction includes the above three brands and Nestlé’s three water business factories in Kunming, Shanghai and Tianjin. According to the licensing agreement between the two parties, Qingdao Beer Group will produce and sell Nestle Youhuo products in China in the future. At the same time, Nestlé also transferred all the equity of Shanghai Nestlé Drinking Water Co., Ltd., Tianjin Nestlé Natural Mineral Water Co., Ltd. and Yunnan Dashan Beverage Co., Ltd. to Qingdao Beer Group.
