NCS is the abbreviation of Natural Colour System. NCS is one of the world's well-known color systems today. It is a national inspection standard for Sweden, Norway, Spain and other countries. It is a widely used color system in Europe. IKEA and Ferrari both use NCS for design.
Unlike the general RGB/CMY three primary color mixing system, NCS is based on 6 primary colors: yellow, red (R), blue (B), green (G), black (S) and white (W). It is discovered and collected from nature based on the color feeling that is directly observed. Each color number has its corresponding image, so it is more in line with human instinct and the sensibility of CMF design.
