Brand Introduction

Micron Technology was founded in 1978 in the basement of a dental clinic in Boise, Idaho, USA. It started as a semiconductor design company with only four employees. Micron's first contract was to design 64K memory chips for Mostek Corporation.

Since its establishment, the Micron team, with lofty ideals, visionary and scientific rigorous, has reinterpreted the concept of "innovation" and designed and developed storage and semiconductor technologies. Micron develops various technologies that will bring infinite possibilities into reality. In fact, you may use our storage in a variety of products every day: from compute, network and server applications to mobile, embedded, consumer, automotive and industrial design.

As one of the companies with a large number of patents in the world, Micron continues to reflect, reshape and promote new concepts to promote innovative technologies to a wider market. Micron's Xi'an factory was established in 2006 and mainly conducts integrated circuit assembly and testing and DRAM module manufacturing. The factory plays an important role in Micron's continuous success in the DRAM markets such as networks, clouds and data centers. Micron's R&D center in Shanghai focuses on almost all of its products, from DRAM and NAND chip design, to hosted NAND system product design and development, to SSD firmware development and testing. Micron also has three customer labs in China, helping to design, optimize and validate memory systems for the network, computing, mobile and embedded markets by collaborating with customers.
