In the 1980s, the Linx (Lingxin) brand was founded in Cambridge, the birthplace of the world's inkjet technology, and in 2013, it fully entered the Chinese market and established a wholly-owned subsidiary: Lingxin Aoke (Shanghai) Trading Co., Ltd.!

Linx's first CIJ inkjet printer was the 5000 pioneered in 1987, followed by the 5100, 5150 and 5200 inkjet printers. These are the first inkjet printers with fully sealed nozzles, one-button start-stop and four-line inkjet performance.

It was launched in 1988 and 6,000 in 1991. The latter continues to maintain Linx's "first" record with a complete set of automatic nozzle flushing functions (to ensure the cleanliness of the nozzle at first start) and WYSIWYG display. The upgraded versions of the two models were launched on the market in the 1990s, including the first 6200 printer with automatic power outage, and the 4800 that achieved another industry "first" in terms of meeting the IP55 protection standard. Linx's first food-grade ink was first developed for the European egg injection coding market and was first used in 6200 and 4800 in 1997. Linx's first special ink printer for pigment ink – Linx 6800 Spectrum was launched in 2002.

Linx began to enter the Chinese market in 1995 and began to sell Linx printers through agent channels. With the growth of its business and in order to better provide customers with technical and after-sales support, Linx established a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2013: Xinaoke (Shanghai) Trading Co., Ltd. has entered the Chinese market in full swing.

In 2003, 4900 replaced 4800; inkjet printers equipped with deep-traced stainless steel shells were able to "shake off" the water. In 2009, the 7300 replaced the 6000 series inkjet printer. Over the next few years, the 7300 and 4900 series were further expanded and included models with specific applications, such as the 7300 Spectrum for high contrast pigment ink, with horizontal lines adapted to multi-channel product (yogurt jug) spray-coding 4900DC of the nozzle.

Linx has also developed its own range of ink and solvents to enable its CIJ inkjet printers to adapt to a wide range of substrates and applications, including coding on wet bottles and UV-readable inks (this ink is invisible and only under ultraviolet rays.
