LG Energy Solution is affiliated to the South Korean LG Group. Aierji New Energy (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. is a wholly foreign-owned enterprise invested and built by the well-known multinational comprehensive chemical company, South Korea LG Chem, in Nanjing. It is mainly a wholly foreign-owned enterprise that produces future advanced information electronic materials, polarizers and lithium batteries, such as TFT-LCD. Aierji New Energy (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. was established in July 2003. It is located in the LG Industrial Park of Nanjing Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an area of 330,000 square meters and an investment of more than US$850 million. The production of polarizers began in May 2004, and the lithium-ion battery project was completed in October of the same year and began to be put into production. At present, the company's polarizer production capacity has reached 1.5 million meters/month, lithium-ion batteries have reached 20 million cells/month, and 10 million Pack/month. The company currently has nearly 7,500 employees. From then on, equipment will be added one after another, product types will be expanded, outstanding talents will be actively introduced, and management and production processes will be improved to meet the needs of more customers.
